Idaho Falls was a refreshing stop after touring Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.  Also I wanted to see it there are falls in Idaho Falls.
After leaving Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons, it was time to get back to some resemblance of civilization.  My first stop was in Idaho Falls.

I always wondered if there were really falls in Idaho Falls and there are.  My hotel was across the street from them.

While these falls are not tall, they do stretch a ways down the river.  Early in the 1900s, they placed a hydro-electric dam behind the falls.  This dam generates half of Idaho Fall's electricity.

Idaho Falls is famous for being a major crossing for the pioneers traveling the Oregon Trail.
