I spent my last two days of vacation visiting and enjoying Omaha, Nebraska.
On my arrival day, I decided to eat some seafood to clear my palate.  I ate at a very nice restaurant overlooking the Missouri River.

On my full day in town, I decided to check out the local zoo.

Here is a view of the Desert Dome within Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo.  Their exhibits were very well presented and enjoyable to see and walk through.

In the Desert Dome, besides the animals, they also have the plant life native to that particular region.

The Orangutan Forest was new and seems to provide the animals with plenty of room.

The Hubbard Gorilla Valley was surely a hot spot to see and be seen.

A new baby gorilla was born on April 8th of 2005.  Around the clock care is given to the newest resident of the Gorilla Park.  Isn't she cute?

This otter was fun to watch as he swam back and forth in the pool, upside-down.

For dinner, I headed to the old section of town, called Old Market.  I had to try an Omaha Steak so I dined at Omaha Prime.  Excellent service and meal.  I went for the eleven ounce Filet Mignon.

After dinner, I walked around Old Market.
